Welcome To Engineers Without Borders!

Engineers Without Borders is a non-profit humanitarian organization established to partner with developing communities worldwide in order to improve their quality of life.  This partnership involves the implementation of sustainable engineering projects, while involving and training internationally responsible engineers and engineering students.

General Chapter Meeting, Thursday 10-09-08, at 6:00 pm:

The next chapter meeting will be at ASME International, located at 3 Park Ave by 34th St.

Agenda:
- Introduction to EWB-NY for non-members
- EWB-NY Project Updates - State of the Project and Call for Volunteers
- EWB-NY Initiatives: Education, Consulting and Volunteering

We are offering new opportunities to engage volunteers from all walks of life. Volunteers can get involved in ways beyond the traditional project model.

Through Education, we engage students from grade school through college in our ongoing projects and offer ways in which they can participate while learning about engineering, health, economics and the arts.

Through Consulting, we are offering opportunities for our volunteers to volunteer for Non-Profits engaged in the fight against poverty around the world. We may not have the capacity to add more and more projects, but we can find ways to offer our expertise and willingness to help.

And finally, through work in the Chapter, volunteers can put their stamp on how we operate, take part in training, and plan their own initiatives.

Everyone is welcome, pass this info along to coworkers and colleagues.
